It was the Friday of our week-long investors forum, so I didn't want to remain in the office. We arrived early and as always G was already hungry and had to munch on the famous HK wafer 雞蛋仔 which is conveniently located downstairs from the restaurant!
We started with 4 of the popular dishes:
The starter - 避風塘六小福 Seeing that we only ordered 4 dishes (despite the fact that we told her this was our initial order, we would order more later), the lady failed to tell us this dish came in 2 sizes - standard and small, she gave us the fairly large standard one. But we cleared it!
The popular 韭菜花 (don't know the English name)
The must have - Chili Crab in lots of fried garlic 避風塘炒蟹
A gamble - Clams in "salty water" 油鹽水蜆
As we said initially, we ordered more. We had 蒜茸粉絲蒸蟶子 (another shell fish), salt and pepper fried fish 椒鹽泥鯭 but the star dish of all is the $48 duck ho fan soup! So GOOD!
We will be back, if only just for the duck ho fan soup.
