Adventure #59: Restaurant Lou Wong (Ipoh)

It is near Ching Ming Festival and hence it has been raining on and off.  Despite the rain, we drove back to Ipoh Old Town in search of the famous chicken rice with ho fun and bean sprouts.

There are a couple of chicken rice stores on the same street but we were told Lou Wong is the best.  For this trip, let's sample all the best ones first.

Tables for al fresco dinning, weather permitting, unfortunately weather not permitting tonight....

It is true that Ipoh bean sprouts taste superior.  G couldn't stop praising it. Even our older one who normally throws out all the bean sprouts couldn't stop eating!

The dry ho fun was so yummy!
For the chicken, they use the healthy free-range ones. The downside of this is that the chicken is not as tender as the "steroid" type. But this is a personal preference.

The been sprouts and the ho fun are extremely good. Next time, we will try a few more shops and make a comparison.  For now, very satisfied with Ipoh....the food at least.
