Adventure #63: Sisters Fried Kway Teow (Penang)

The Sister's Fried Kway Teow is very well known in Penang. They have been serving char kway teow for over 50 years in a little cafe called Lam Heng.  Took us a while to find it.

Lam Heng really is a small cafe. Even with the GPS, we weren't sure if we got to the right place.....until we saw the sign.

I guess we found the right place.

The walls are lined with press clippings of the sisters

Kway teow not fried by the sisters anymore......understandable since they are both in their 70s.....but will the quality be the same???

Looks really good.

We cannot remember what it used to taste like when the sisters fried them.  So, we could only compare it to the stall outside Sin Guat Keong Coffee Shop which we had last night. They are both different.  The former, more moist. The latter, a bit more "wok" taste.  Verdict - both G and the older one prefer the Two Sisters.
