Some hawker stalls have no names. As they usually serve their customers in coffee shops, they are merely known as the stalls in, outside or opposite the coffee shop.
This is the stall outside Sin Guat Keong coffee shop serving char kway teow |
Looked ordinary but tasted great! |
This is the stall opposite Sin Guat Keong coffee shop serving duck porridge and duck kway chap 鴨粿汁. I didn't know what kway chap was till later. |
This is the duck kway chap. Looks good doesn't it? Taste wonderful too! |
The white stuff is kway chop. It is like ho fun - flat pieces of rice noodle, only not as smooth as ho fun. |
Once again, we pigged out! |
After dinner, we moved on to the coffee shop next door for dessert as food from the dessert stall is not allowed in Sin Guat Heong. |
I ordered the longgan lotus seed soup which tasted ok |
G wanted to try the almond tea but thought it was too thick and starchy. I think the Malaysians have it with the yau tiew 油條. Too full to explore that option. |
Once again, a satisfied night despite the rain.
