Adventure #79: Pantai Seafood Restaurant (PJ)

We are back in Malaysia for the summer.  For our first family dinner, we went to Pantai Seafood Restaurant at the Kayu Ara area.  This is a rather big seafood restaurant with indoor (air-con) and outdoor (fan) seatings. Food standard varies but rather popular with the locals.

We started with some of the more standard dishes - sweet and sour pork, deep fried squid, belacan kang kong, fried kai lan and braised tou foo.

Steam patin fish - a local favourite

Crab cooked with salty egg yolk - this was not well done, the egg yolk seemed to only stick onto the outside of the crab - 不入味.  Meat has no flavour.

The Marmite crab was much better.
Once again, food standard varies.  If not sure what to eat, then this is a good place to try as lots of variety.
